It All Makes Sense
Sep. 9th, 2010 03:21 pmAnalysing a poem I've read three times and analyzed two for tomorrow's silly class. It's an introduction to the field of literature in general, and I have to take it because I didn't when I started. I was lazy, the introductory language course was hell, I never sat the exam.
It's a very straight-forward modernist thing, in Norwegian. The catch is that I'm supposed to bring a 'draft' to class, so we can all critique each other's work. My drafts consist of scattered, bracketed notes, thrown together in what i believe will be the final structure. I don't expect the critiques to be very useful: the others are inexperienced, and I don't intend to write an essay that deserves critique – for god's sake, it is two double spaced pages. If you can't do this, there is no hope.
