Alice in Wonderland

We saw Alice in Wonderland yesterday, and I wasn't very impressed. Hathaway's White Queen was pretty, boring and what was with the hands? She spends all her on-screen time hoisting her hands to shoulder level and practising 'elegant wrists'. Bonham Carter did a good job as spoiled rotten queen, and Depp was far too much Willy Wonka. Has he used up his repertoire of quirky, I wonder? It was beautiful enough, but the 3D seemed superfluous – like someone in post-production having a bright idea, along the lines of 'Hey, 3D would be cool, let's go all Avatar on Alice's ass'.

Not sure, but she also wrote the theme song for Eragon. So, maybe she was cheap?

Must've been, or they were going for some sort of Eragon allusion in the theme song. Hopefully she was just cheap.
