Fur, Fur, Fur.

Dagbladet reports Lagerfeld to have said that "no woman is a woman til she owns a fur coat". And I'm inclined to agree. I know it's not for everyone, but I love fur. A quick google image search gave me this. Isn't it divine?

Shoemaker/cobbler Dagestad is currently not taking on any new repairs, so I'm at a loss. I need to have several pairs re-soled. Leather soles just won't do in Norway, summer, spring or winter.

Oh, come on, leather soles aren't that bad, are they? I know, you're the expert, but I do know functionality (but I agree leather soles won't do as long as the ground is covered in anything slippery)!

They're beautiful and I love them, but I can't wear them out: they leather gets torn, then water seeps in and you ruin them. And re-soling them after the fact is next to hopeless. It's ok if you know you won't wear them in wet weather or walk on gravel, stones, sharp surfaces of any kind.
