Random Tidbits

This summer, it is ten years since I read Lord of the Rings. The summer I turned ten. Perhaps I'll re-read it, it is an important anniversary, after all. I long to get to France, and sip rosé at the restaurant I love; the proprietor just says 'non', if he disagrees with your choice, and serves you what he thinks appropriate. And the pride when he brings out his cheeses. They all but march in on their own.

Haven't been to Montpellier in three years, so it's time to try again. The food is worth the disgusting people. So is just getting out of the country for a while. We're driving through Germany on the way back, which should prove interesting.

We spent the weekend at the cottage, drinking wine, swimming, eating and having hopeless discussions. I love being by the water.

I'm also completely smitten with Brad Roberts' voice, vocalist in Crash Test Dummies. Of all things, it's ridiculous, but oh, so, sexy. Very imaginative description, that.
