I haven't really felt much like ranting LJ-style lately, but now I think I do.
I was out earlier, and I was being social. Had a date for a coffee with Jens, and he dragged a few friends along (Mads, quite charming guy really, Ma-something, fun, and Christian). We walked along, bumped into Julie and Linda, who, to my great surprise, I knew. And ended squeezed into a sofa, and two chairs at subs. Jens and co left, Sofia arrived. Lala, all things considered, a pretty fun outing.
How do people get the idea that bringing people along when meeting someone, without asking, or even telling the one you're meeting is completely all right? Darn it people, it's not. When I make arrangements to meet someone for a cup of coffee, that's what I expect doing. Not meeting 4 people, and running aroung with them trying to get the desperate teens some liquor. And that brings me to the other issue of my rant:
Teens drinking to get drunk. Teens drinking wine because "ooh, it's so good! (and I get drunk *giggle*)". Teens drinking because it's cool being drunk. Teens being utterly pathetic. Teens being nothing but laughable.
(My English is hellish. I apologize, and blame Vigdis.)
