ParadoxXx

Considering that I just spent the last, er, 3 days drunk or eating, I'm in remarkably decent shape. Somewhere out there is a hangover waiting to happen, but it did not happen this weekend. Only to the extent that it could be cured with water. 7 people, 4 days, and who knows how much alcohol and food. We played miming games with ridiculous results like swimming vampires (Kristine bit her arm and then swam, she was miming a leach she tells us, I say swimming vampire), flying Pinocchios (alleged hummingbird, come on, long nose and flapping wings?). We scrabbled and invented words. The great thing about Norwegian is that we make compound words all the time, so it's technically not totally out of bounds.

Now I keep discovering bruises everywhere. Next week will be so busy the hangover will not get time to catch up. Seeing a friend's brother dance at the Opera, concert in Synne's living room, mussels (moules frites!), dress shopping, trying to cram in writing a hideous essay about Spivak and Said, and a double helping of postcolonialism class on Friday (10-12, 16-18). And there's the matter of passing my exams. No one cares about those anymore.

Oh my god, moules frites are mussels?! I kept seeing it on the menu at the pub and thought they were some sort of potato thing. Thank goodness I never ordered them out of curiosity! D:

Your weekend sounds like it was wonderful, especially charades :D

Haha, yes, they are! Mussels and chips, essentially. They're delicious! But if you don't care for mussels I suspect you're better off avoiding them XD

It was all kinds of wonderful. Ah, charades, that's the word I was looking for! Racked my brain for it and came up short. Charades is hilarious even though I suck at miming.
