This is the Way the World Ends, Not With a Bang but a Whimper

Right, I'm infatuated again. Acting this time, Darlings. Not the craftsmen, the craft. The techniques, the ideas, the stage. Oh, and theatre in general. It's so, so, utterly wonderful. When I have the money I'm going on the tiniest of tiny rampages - I need books. Theories, philosophies, plays.

(Title snatched from T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men". I revere that line, and the endless ways it can be read. I need to read more of his work. I need to read more poetry in general. Eliot, Whitman, Thoreau, Byron, Shelley, Plath, Bjerke.)

And I told some chap off yesterday, he continues to violate semicolons in his oh-so-urple prose.

And dad brought a print-out of an article on Oxford, and on a scholarship. I'm back to wishing to study there, and I can't wait to spend a few days roaming the town. Oh, goodness, how will I ever get in? What will I do if I get my masters in English, become a diplomat, a teacher?

Disclaimer: I have no wish to act, I just want to know the mechanics of it. - If a crude word like mechanics can be rightfully applied to art (forgive me, Oscar).
