We had four hours of grammar as an introductory lecture yesterday. It was challenging, and fun. Four hours of grammar was fun. I think I'm finally where I belong. Though it seems only a handful of us are going on to do a Master. I also have the best lectureplan in the world. I start no earlier than 10:15, and have Fridays off. Life will be good. Now all I need is a job.

Wedding tomorrow :]

My hair is in love with the Wella Lifetex series, thank god. Using the mask as a conditioner is the best idea my hair-dresser har ever come up with. Not only is my hair managable, it looks and feels healthy. So, I am almost back in love with my hair. The only thing missing is a flash of new colour, and forty-somthing foils going into the works.

I'm also desparingly hooked on The Wire.

I've decided: I shall get a master in English. While both law and psychology is infinitely tempting, I don't think I can bare not fiddling with languages. And I will do Russian on the side. And I will shanghai my Russian-speaking relatives into talking with me. And I will make sure there is no trace of Norwegian in my English. And I will read so much silly things my head is full of it. And I will buy that critic I spoke of earlier, and worship him with zest (yes, zest, the word is appalling, but it works).

I desperately want to do my master at Oxford, and so there is only one thing to do: excel at everything I do the next three years. Perhaps I'll land myself in our thoroughly arrogant Ministry of Foreign Affairs when I'm done studying. Or do a master in law. The prospect of bantering for a living is infinitely appealing, though I would only work as a barrister. And that is a bit limiting, considering that it is most likely what all law-students want.

Anyone asking what I'll do when I have finished deserves nothing less than my best Snape-interpretation. No less, I tell you. I might call them something nasty/nifty in Russian, for good measure. I also suspect Russian grammar and cases is hellish.

There is still a degree of separation anxiety from upper secondary, but I'm improving. The prescriped dosage of fiction and people is helping.

(Mot evigheten, og forbi! Høres enda fetere ut på norsk enn engelsk. Lenge leve Buzz!)

New York was astounding, huge and incredible. It also entailed Louboutins the likes of these nude ones. I am forever broke and indebted to my parents, but they are divine. And I starbucked a lot.

And I have to quote an answer from Vigdis to a mail she requested I wrote her, about Blindern. I informed her about what we had been up to lately, what we were doing, how much I loved it and thanked her (profusely *g*) for the opportunity. She answered: "I am impressed and overjoyed by the quality of your English !!
Good luck with your assignment." WAAAH XD Impressed XD I impressed her XD WAHA XD My English reigns supreme (you may tear me down from my pedestal most violently later, but for now, I am very happy, very tired and very high on shoes and compliments).

More about NYC later, when I am not packing to leave for the cottage. And, Kristine, Darling, mann XD You did it! I am so proud.

I will, for once in my life, do some propper blogging. Behold, dear, nonexistent readers, the power of my blogging skills. And savour them, for they will not re-appear anytime soon, judging by the amount of blogging I have done here til now.

As I scourged the mighty internets in search of references for Sociology and blasted politics and found this article, in Norwegian, about how a man enlisted the help of Gaiman to propose to his girlfriend. More detailed, English, description of it here. It is so wonderfully, breath-takingly, stunningly aaaw.

Back to my unalarming, non-blogging self, now. The university English is happening. And I am too stressed to be thrilled. Once I am done with local democracy and social bloody psychology I will run screaming around for a bit.

Now I shall drink water to make up for all the caffein I have poured down today.

I proclaimed that I was not about to get all excited about the possibilty of University English again, but I cannot help it. There is talk of a group of us participating in this course at UiO. Delighted, me? High? I'm just relieved we won't be reading Dickens. He is much worse than Shakespeare. His books are so long, and so tedious. (Yes, I read them anyway. He was a very good writer, but suffers from originally having been published in monthly installments, not in books)

And Kristine got 6! XD Congratulations, Darling!
